day 20: the movie you love the most

I honestly had a hard time picking just which one of the princess movies is my favorite. So, I picked my top 3: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Little Mermaid, and Tangled.

day 19: the story you wish was your life

I really just want to be a mermaid with fabulous hair and a handsome prince.

day 18: the scene that always makes you cringe

The Jafar kiss always freaks me out even if Jasmine only did it to protect Aladdin. Kudos to Jasmine for being the only princess who’s kissed the villain.

day 17: the scene that always makes you cheer

I can never wipe the smile off my face when Ray finally joins Evangeline up in the night sky. That’s pure Disney magic.

day 16: the scene that always makes you cry

I know that Disney movies always end with happily ever after, and even though I knew in that Rapunzel and Eugene would be together, this scene really hit me. For the first time in eighteen years, Rapunzel finally realizes what she wants to do with her life and who she wants to spend it with. All of that comes to a halt as she watches Flynn sail off towards the kingdom. She was sold out by someone she thought she could trust. She was betrayed. And there’s nothing worse than getting your hopes up and then feeling them crumble around you. That’s why this scene always gets me teary-eyed because Rapunzel is such a fragile, innocent girl and this was probably the first time she ever felt anything like that.

Also, I know that Tangled gets a lot of crap just because it’s a CG film, but this scene (and I believe the entire movie) is animated beautifully and emotionally. It’s so real and intimate that you can feel her pain. She’s so human that I don’t know how Disney animators captured it so perfectly.

day 15: two princes who would be best buds

Naveen and Flynn are two charismatic peas in a pod. Both want the money, but would rather get the girl (even if it wasn’t love at first sight). Plus, I believe they could help each other out in certain situations. For instance, Flynn’s street smarts can really come in handy because Naveen was sheltered his whole life.

day 14: two side kicks who could make a great duo

Abu and Meeko are mischievous, thieving, and hungry. They’re just a perfect match if you ask me.

day 13: two princesses you think detest each other

Merida and Snow White are polar opposites. Snow White awaits her loving prince, while Merida would rather declare war than settle down. And Merida’s love for apples won’t go over well with Snow.
